JOB SUMMARY


The Commercial Analyst will be responsible for handling a diverse range of analytical functions, assisting the sales organization in the execution of the company’s near- and long-term strategies for our hardware, software, and services solutions. Primary duties of the job will include project budgeting, financial analysis, risk assessment, pricing development, cost-effectiveness evaluations, assessments of go-to-market strategies, sales forecasting, sales analytics and business intelligence. This position will work collaboratively across multiple business units, including Sales, Operations, Finance, Product Management, Marketing, and Operations.


  • Prepare detailed project pro formas for new sales opportunities to inform deal pricing and strategy.
  • Maintain tools and databases for cost and pricing data.
  • Create financial models for risk and market assessments.
  • Create techno-economic models for evaluating customer value and cost-effectiveness.
  • Assist with developing commercial terms and pricing for new program designs and go-to-market strategies.
  • Collect, analyze, and summarize economic, industry, and market data. Maintain and update prospect list to ensure that target opportunities are developed.
  • Research markets, trends, competitors, and products to provide business intelligence.
  • Create reports, visualizations, and dashboards to inform sales and management.
  • Provide data and analytics expertise for developing and monitoring sales KPIs.
  • Serve as a “power user” of CRM tool (e.g. HubSpot, Salesforce).
  • Assist with key activities during planning and budgeting cycle.
  • Engage with multiple relevant internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure that management is involved at critical times and during pivotal opportunities. Delegates to other departments as appropriate.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimal Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, or related field plus a minimum of 3 years of business experience



Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in related industry (i.e. energy technology) preferred.
  • Proven strong financial and analytical skills to model and quantify impacts of assumptions and events;
  • Able to present information clearly and effectively to a variety of audiences;
  • Excellent analytical, organization, project management, communication and people skills on the executive level;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and/or assignments concurrently;
  • Strong, verbal and written communication skills;
  • Proficiency in database applications and MS Office with excellent Excel skills;
  • Ability to act proactively, independently, and decisively to quickly assess needs and identify logical solutions;
  • Ability to think and act strategically;
  • Out of the box thinker;
  • Ability to work collaboratively across business units’ hierarchy and functions;
  • Cross/multi-functional understanding of industry, company, and products to enable identification of assumptions and events, and qualification of related risks and opportunities.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls.  The employee is regularly required to stand and walk.  On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders.  The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job include are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.

COMPENSATION

 

Enbala is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role based in Denver, Colorado is $85,000 - $100,000. This compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications and geographic location. This role is eligible for variable compensation including short term incentives
