The Business Analyst will analyze and interpret complex data sets to provide insights and recommendations that will help stakeholders deliver on key goals which include increasing sales, enhancing margins, and gaining market share for our product line of portable generators.  To achieve these results, the Business Analyst will leverage automation and visualize tools to deliver proactive insights, utilize advanced statistical methods to uncover patterns and trends in data, and track team performance relative to stated KPIs/OKRs. Additionally, the Business Analyst will be responsible for scoping data infrastructure and systems that will support the team's ongoing analysis and reporting needs.


Given this role will support multiple functional areas, the Business Analyst must be adept at delivering diverse requirements with unique timelines and comfortable managing the expectations of multiple stakeholders. The ability to become intimately familiar with our products, processes, and the overall marketplace for backup power will be essential for this role - so highly passionate and curious individuals are encouraged to apply.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to identify business problems and develop solutions that leverage data
  • Lead the development and implementation of data-driven strategies to drive meaningful business results
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify key metrics, KPIs, and data requirements for product initiatives
  • Query large datasets using SQL and curate data for the purpose of analytics
  • Analyze large and complex data sets using to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform decision-making
  • Develop and maintain data visualizations and dashboards using Power BI that communicate insights to key stakeholders
  • Design and execute A/B tests, analyze results, and provide actionable insights to optimize product features and functionalities
  • Use data to identify opportunities for process improvements
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend innovative approaches for product analytics

Minimal Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Engineering
  • 3 years of experience working as a Business Analyst, Data Scientist, or similar role
  • No immigration sponsorship available for this role, including F1 OPT

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting manufactured products

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Deep knowledge of statistical analysis
  • Proficiency with SQL and data visualization tools such as Power BI
  • Strong programming skills in languages like Python, R, for data analysis
  • Ability to communicate complex findings to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity

Physical demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls.  The employee is regularly required to stand and walk.  On occasion, the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend, or reach above the shoulders.  The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel (minimal).
