Job Summary: The Sales Training Project Manager will be responsible for providing project management support to the Sales Training department. The Sales Training Project Manager will be a liaison for Generac University Sales Training with key audiences across the Consumer Power business and omni-channel distribution.  This role will provide project management leadership to the sales training team for curriculum development, end-to-end event management, digital campaigns, and other related projects.     

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for planning and executing project management plans for curriculum development, end-to-end event management, digital campaigns, and other related projects
  • Lead key project execution, in collaboration with cross-channel teams and Instructional Designer for new course development or other initiatives
  • Plan and execute large projects to meet schedule, budget, scope, and quality commitments
  • Implement risk and mitigation plans for projects if needed  
  • Define and lead contingency option assessments when needed, then select and execute mitigation plans
  • Participate in identifying and implementing continuous process improvements
  • Effectively communicate project timelines and keep stakeholders informed of risks 
  • Identify, evaluate, and document “lessons-learned” during the project and communicate best practices and lessons learned to project team members on future projects

Minimum Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s degree or other technical discipline, plus 5 years’ work experience   
  • 3 years minimum of project management experience
  • Ability to travel up to 15% and a valid Driver's License

Preferred Qualifications:
  • PMP Certification or 5 years’ equivalent work experience
  • Demonstrated Project Management experience with cross-functional teams

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results while working simultaneously on multiple projects, balancing resources, timing and quality of outcomes
  • Ability to influence people and teams who are not direct reports

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls.  The employee is regularly required to stand and walk.  On occasion, the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend, or reach above the shoulders.  The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Ability to travel up to 15% and valid Driver’s License required. This is a remote position.
