DR Power Equipment, as part of the Chore Business Group of Generac Power Systems, has an opportunity for an Advertising Manager to join us in our beautiful location overlooking Vermont’s Green Mountains from South Burlington. You will be joining us at an exciting time as we grow and create innovative new products that drive and shape the market!

The Advertising Manager works with Customer Acquisition, Marketing, and Merchandising teams to develop a long-term strategic plan for the Chore Business Group and the direct-to-consumer channel. This role oversees all advertising responsibilities across all mediums, supervises the Media Buying and Digital Marketing staff, and provides insight on advertising performance and overall campaign health. Works with other managers to improve customer acquisition value through multi-channel data management and reporting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Works with Customer Acquisition team to improve our new and existing buyer strategies, considering the opportunities with advertising, e-commerce, and marketing.
  • Oversees or personally creates advertising plans for the Chore business group brands by product category.
  • Works with the Media Buying team to implement strategic campaign plans and execute on that buying strategy staying in budget and optimizing for performance, campaign health, and profitability.
  • Reports on advertising performance and manages marketing spend.
  • Oversees the daily activities of the Media Buyers, providing guidance and backup when necessary.
  • Supervises Media Buying and Digital Marketing teams.
  • Interprets large amounts of data, build database queries, and understand how the data relates to marketing reporting, analysis, and marketing goals.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 
  • Five years of relevant experience 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in an advertising agency model and working with media buying systems.
  • Knowledge and experience with all forms of advertising and managing large advertising budgets.
  • Experience buying media, statistical analysis, and developing systems for maintenance of and reporting on marketing data.
  • Experience working with data visualization and business intelligence tools.
  • Supervisory/Management Experience.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Direct-to-consumer channel and direct response media experience.
  • Provides well thought-out analysis through asking questions and identifying and solving problems as they arise.
  • Working knowledge of relational databases.

Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls.  The employee is regularly required to stand and walk.  On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders.  The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job include are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus. Up to 10% travel and valid Driver’s License required.
