Neurio, a subsidiary of Generac Power Systems, is looking for a Senior UX Designer.  In this role you will have a chance to tackle challenging design problems across a mixed HW/SW product portfolio and combine technology and high-level product requirement into engaging customer experiences. Most importantly you will be working with an incredibly passionate product team and lead the charge of the clean energy revolution. 

This position is based in Vancouver, BC, Canada.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

Own the user research program, conducting user research sessions to discover new features and refine             existing ones with regular cadence
Collaborate closely with Product Management, UI Designers, Engineering
Keep an open channel with Customer Support to identify critical user problems 
Own and drive design problems from ideation to execution 
Gain a deep understanding of our users, and share that understanding with the team through user and              buyer personas
Provide guidance to the product teams on product philosophy and general information architecture 
Drive a holistic approach to UX across our HW and SW product portfolio
Facilitate journey mapping and user story mapping sessions 
Sketch lo-fi prototypes for new features and concepts, and iterate based on conversation with the                       development team  
Coach development teams on good UX design, increasing poly-skills  


Minimum Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s degree in Interaction Design, UX Design, Industrial Design, or Human Factors
5 years related experience including UX research and design for web and mobile applications
Experience with designing applications which involve displaying and interacting with rich data, and                      complex task flows.
Note: Candidates will be asked to provide a strong portfolio of mobile and web app work, showcasing 
        problem-solving skills and high  design caliber  
Proficiency with design and prototyping tools including one or more of: Sketch, Invision, Figma
Experience conducting in person research and real-time remote research through tools such as 
        UserTesting.com
Fluency in the latest cross-platform product design trends

Preferred Qualifications:

Exposure to analytics tools and techniques, and experience defining KPIs for product features. 
Previous experience working with IoT products and mixed product portfolios involving significant 
        touchpoints between HW and SW products. 
Previous experience with SaaS products and with identifying “anchor features”
