Generac Energy Technology is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Electrical Engineering to help develop next-generation renewable energy products. In this role, you will have the opportunity to gain experience in a variety of disciplines, including analog, digital, and microcontroller PCB design, product firmware, failure analysis, power electronics, high-voltage battery systems, and battery management systems.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute large-scale long-term test setups and procedures for electrical systems, focusing on power conversion, high voltage, inverters, PV Optimizers, electronics and IoT devices.
  • Perform functional and performance testing of electrical components, subsystems, and complete systems.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues, working closely with the design and development teams to identify root causes and propose solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test requirements and specifications for new products or product enhancements.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering or related Engineering discipline
  • At least 3 months of relevant experience 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to perform detail oriented work with a high degree of accuracy;
  • Ability to translate technical information to all audiences;
  • Uses basic engineering knowledge to improve products or services;
  • Able to solve basic engineering problems; good decision-making skills;

Physical Demands: 
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend, or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job include are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus.
