The ideal candidate for Senior Workday Integration Developer will possess deep expertise in Workday integrations with a proven track record of successful implementation and optimization of integration solutions.  The Senior Workday Integration Developer works with all business stakeholders across the global corporate and business functions and plays a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining integrations between Workday and various third-party systems, ensuring seamless data flow and system interoperability.  This role serves as the primary point of contact for Workday HCM integrations globally.  This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset to work effectively across teams.  


Major Responsibilities 

  • Integration Design and Development:  Work with stakeholders to design, develop, test, deploy and manage Workday integrations utilizing Workday Studio, Core Connectors, EIB, Cloud Connect, and other integration tools.  Support SSO, provisioning, and authentication between Workday and other systems.  Provide ongoing support for existing integrations to include both break/fix and enhancements.  Ensure adherence to integration best practices and standards.
  • Requirements Analysis:  Collaborate with HR, IT, and technical resources to gather integration requirements, analyze business processes, and translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Integration Testing and Debugging:  Conduct thorough testing of integrations to ensure accuracy, reliability, and optimal performance.  Troubleshoot and debug integration issues, providing timely resolution.
  • Optimization and Enhancement:  Continually assess and optimize existing integrations to improve efficiency, scalability, and maintainability.   Propose and implement enhancements to meet evolving business needs.  Manage incidents coming through IT or HR help desk related to integrations.
  • Documentation and Training:  Create comprehensive documentation for integrations, including design documents, technical specifications, and operational guides.  Provide training and support to end-users and technical teams as needed.
  • Integration Governance:  Establish and maintain integration governance practices, including version control, change management, and compliance with data transfer standards as established by internal cybersecurity policies and guidance as well as external security and data privacy regulations.  Identify and mitigate risks and security concerns while minimizing customization and leveraging standard functionality whenever possible.
  • Project Management and Stakeholder Management:  Working closely with cross-functional teams including HR, Finance, IT, and external vendors, ensure alignment of integration initiatives with business objectives along with correct prioritization.  Effectively communicate with stakeholders to manage expectations and provide regular project updates.  Lead integration initiatives and integration team members on projects.  Work in tandem with 3rd party providers to drive SOW creation, prepare capital request summaries, and manage budget, when applicable.
  • Workday Releases and Best Practices:  Stay abreast of emerging trends, Workday updates, new features, and industry best practices related to integrations.  Evaluate and recommend opportunities to leverage new technologies and functionalities to enhance integration capabilities.  

Minimum Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.  
  • 5+ years’ experience in Workday integration development, with expertise in Workday Studio, Core Connectors, EIB, Cloud Connect, and related tools.  
  • 3+ years supporting integrations in Workday HCM

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
  • Proficient in Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) with extensive Workday Report Writing - Custom Reporting skills
  • Proficiency in integration technologies such as SOAP, REST, XML, XSLT, and web services.
  • Experience with integration design patterns, API Management, and middleware platforms.  as well as experience with Web Services and APIs
  • Strong understand of Workday data model, business processes, and security framework.  Experience in Edit Tenant setup-related configuration for a variety of functional areas
  • Experience in adding custom validations on Workday Business Processes
  • Skilled in designing, developing, and troubleshooting inbound / outbound integrations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.  
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and able to manage multiple priorities.

Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
